3 Day Quote Challenge : Day 3

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

Steve Jobs

So we’re back again for day 3 of the quote challenge, it’s actually the last day. If you haven’t been caught up with the challenge, just stop right here and you check out Day 1 & Day 2.

For those who have been with me since the start of this challenge, I hope I’ve inspired or motivated you with the quotes I’ve chosen and the reason I’ve chosen them thus far. Also don’t forget to check out Jena Pendarvis, the lovely and wonderful woman who nominated me to do this challenge.

Just like the last two quotes I’ve spoken about in the past two days, I got this quote from the same random site I found on Google. I suddenly had deja-vu because I said the exact same thing yesterday, forgive me since I repeated it for a second time.

As you can see, this quote is lengthier than the other two and well it is from the man who founded Apple, alongside Steve Wozniak, the late Steve Jobs. I read a lot of quotes from that site but choosing this as the last quote, to me is like the icing on the cake.

A quote that I thought felt right to end this challenge with. Now I’m going to talk about why I chose this quote and for that, I’m going to repeat it.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

Steve Jobs

“…do what you believe is great work”, those few words out of the many really resonates with me. It actually touches my heart and don’t get me wrong, the entire quote is wonderful.

It’s my favourite quote out of the three that I’ve chosen. What do I believe is great work? Is it my blog? Is it the degree I’m working my ass of for? I think so.

To be quite honest, as much as I may not be like other bloggers with over 1,000 hits or over 1,000 followers, I love blogging. Even though I didn’t blog for a little over a month, undoubtedly, I was always here because I’m kind of obsessed with it. That’s probably unhealthy and that’s coming from someone that doesn’t blog everyday.

I always felt empty, like something or a piece of me was missing. I might be getting my Bachelor’s but it’s really just a piece of paper if I’m being totally honest. A piece of paper that somehow determines some small aspect of my life.

I don’t think I’ve found what I love to do yet aside from blogging. Sometimes I wonder where am I going to end up with my blog and if I should just revamp and start all over. It’s something I’ve considered but I thought I’m way too skin deep to be deleting all this content I’ve posted to start all over again.

This quote makes me think about my life outside of blogging too. Like I said, I love blogging, but I want to something more, something other than blogging that I know with my heart I’m going to love.

From the quote Steve Jobs said “If you haven’t found it, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it”. So right now, as I feel my heart trying to burst at its seams, I know that someday, I will find what I love that to me will be my greatest work accomplishment yet! In essence, Do What You Love And Love What You Do!

    1. This reminds me of a quote I try to live by, too. It’s actually one of my tattoos lol so it’s important. It says “let the beauty we love be what we do”. And I fully, whole heartedly believe this and intend on doing this. Right now the beauty I’m loving to do is being a stay at home mom. Do I feel like this is my life’s greatest work, for now, absolutely! I believe we can achieve multiple great things in life. You’re blog is beautiful and you shouldn’t feel the need to delete what you’ve started. Maybe if you feel like you need change, make your layout different but keep the content that built your blog into what you have now 😘

      • Your tattoo is a really beautiful phrase (I wish I could get one). Doing this challenge really inspired me and this quote is really my favourite. You’re right I should probably just change the layout instead of deleting my blog. Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it. And thank you for being my friend, love you <3 <3 <3

        • I thought this challenge was very inspiring, too! And you are so very welcome 🌻 I’m so glad we are friends! Love you sweetie 💖
